1. The service
MailOtp rents you temporary access to a real email inbox that we own and operate, for the sole purpose of receiving a one-time verification code (OTP) or confirmation link from a service you choose from our catalog. You never receive the inbox credentials; we read the inbox on your behalf and hand you the code, the link, the sender, the subject and the message text.
2. Accounts
You need an account with a confirmed email address. You are responsible for everything done with your account, your sessions and your API keys. Keep your password and keys secret; rotate a key immediately if you suspect it leaked. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are compromised.
3. Pricing & balance
The service is prepaid. You add funds to a USD balance and every task is priced per service, as shown in the catalog at the moment you create it. The minimum top-up is 1 USD. Balances are not transferable and, except where the law requires otherwise, unused balance is not paid out in cash.
We may add a deposit bonus to a payment: when one confirmed payment reaches a published threshold (+5% from $500, +10% from $1000 at the time of writing), the bonus is added to your balance as promotional credit. Only the highest matching threshold applies, and a promo code and a deposit bonus never add up — you get the larger of the two. The rates shown on the wallet page when you pay are the ones that apply; we may change or end the offer at any time, without affecting bonuses already granted. Promotional credit is not cash: it can only be spent on tasks, it is not paid out, and it is deducted from any refund we make for the payment that earned it.
4. Tasks, refunds & cancellation
- The price is charged when a task is created. Each task has a delivery window set per service (currently 5 minutes; the exact value is listed on every service page and in the API catalog), and never longer than 15 minutes. You may request a shorter or longer window when you create a task, within 1 and 15 minutes.
- If no matching message arrives inside the window, the task times out and the full price is refunded to your balance automatically.
- You may cancel a task yourself once 3 minutes have passed since creation, as long as no code has been delivered. Cancellation refunds the full price.
- A delivered code completes the task and the price is final. A second code for the same service is a new task and a new charge.
- We do not guarantee that a third-party service will send a message to the address we provide, nor that the third party will accept the address.
5. Acceptable use
You may only use MailOtp for lawful purposes and in line with the terms of the services you sign up to. It is forbidden to use the service for fraud, harassment, spam, money laundering, evading sanctions, abusing promotional offers, or for any activity that is illegal where you are or where we operate. We may refuse, suspend or terminate service at our discretion when we see abuse, and abusive tasks are not refunded.
6. API & keys
The API is offered under the documented rate limits. Keys identify your account; anything done with a key is attributed to you. We may change limits, endpoints or response fields with notice in the documentation; breaking changes get a new API version.
7. Availability
We aim for continuous availability but do not promise it. Inbox stock, provider policies and third-party delivery are outside our full control. Planned maintenance may briefly pause task creation.
8. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid to MailOtp in the thirty days before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of accounts on third-party services.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced on the website or by email before they take effect; continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms.
